LowerCase (Pascalscript)

Description

LowerCase converts an ASCII string to lowercase.

Syntax

function LowerCase(const S: string): string;

Arguments

LowerCase converts the characters of the string value specified with S into lowercase letters. However, the conversion only affects the 7-bit ASCII characters between'A' and'Z' (no umlauts).

Excample

var
  S1: String;
  S2: String;
begin
  S1:='Today we test the conversion';
  S2:=LowerCase(S1);
  ShowMessage(S2);
end;

Rules to understand the script can be found here.

The text 'Today we test the conversion' is assigned to the string variable S1. The LowerCase function converts the text to lowercase letters and assigns the result to the string variable S2. The new text is output via ShowMessage.

ShowMessage shows: today we test the conversation
