UACIf a new security concept introduced with Windows 7 is the "User Account Control". This means that programs may not write into the program directory even if they are executed by the administrator. Windows alerts the user to this and he or she can accept the letter. However, older programs have difficulties with this. For example, if the dialog is suppressed, information is written to the "Virtual Store". This is an invisible directory in the user folder.
UDLA UDL file (=Universal Data Link) is an operating system file with the file extension ". udl". It contains location, access and other information to open a database. The UDL information in this file is used by the MDAC database connection.
